Ranked by cost per part; ◆ marks the Pareto front (not beaten on cost, setups, handling and holding all at once).

Pallets

How the selected plan is loaded: one part a load, several on a large zero-point pallet, or on a tombstone on the 4th axis. Each layout's programs are simulated (a minute or so), with parts per hour with and without the pallet changer.

Arrays and grids

Many parts a load in rows and columns: the plan's vises, multi-station vises, self-centring vises on a zero-point grid or clamping bars, each position with its own work offset (G54.1 P1–P48 past six). The best layouts are simulated (minutes), cut tool by tool or part by part, whichever is faster.
